From Live Simply.
- 1 C. borax
- 1 C. washing soda
- 1 C. liquid castile soap
- 1 gallon (16 C.) water
- ~40 drops essential oils (optional)
Bring 6 cups of water to a boil. Remove from heat and add borax and washing soda. In a separate container combine the rest of the water, liquid castile soap, and essential oils, if using. Pour mixtures into your container of choice. Once completely cooled, I will sometimes use an immersion blender to emulsify the ingredients as the washing soda tends to form clumps.
